Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the increasingly desperate and vengeful Creature determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal. REHEARSED READINGS
Rehearsed Readings are not full-scale productions like our spring, summer, and winter productions, but are instead a chance to experience a theatrical piece for a reduced price and enjoy a drink in a cabaret-style setting. Venues vary, but usually have space for 40-50 people and readings are usually only performed once, so tickets sell out quickly!
Our rehearsed readings are performed with minimal set, lighting, props, costumes, and sound effects. The actors perform with a script in their hand and have rehearsed together just a few times. Rehearsed readings are sometimes later transferred to a larger venue for a full production, but that is not always the case.
All venues offer a small selection of drinks and some venues also offer small snacks. Your seat might also be at a small table. All rehearsed readings are 'general admission', which means seats cannot be selected at the time of booking and are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Typically rehearsed readings start slightly earlier than our full-scale productions, so check the details below to make sure you're on time! Doors usually open 30 minutes before the start time, unless otherwise stated above.
