SYNOPSIS
The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals is a high-energy horror-comedy musical produced by StarKid Productions. It features music and lyrics by Jeff Blim and a book by Matt and Nick Lang.
The show is a subversion of musical theater tropes, blending genuine horror with satirical comedy. It originally premiered in Los Angeles in 2018. The story follows Paul, an average guy who "doesn't like musicals", as he watches his town of Hatchetfield succumb to a musical biological apocalypse.

All cast will be required for all technical rehearsals and performances. This is not negotiable. By auditioning, you are confirming your availability for the following dates:
Saturday, September 5th - 1800 - 2200 - Cue-to-cue technical rehearsal
Sunday, September 6th - 1000 - 2000 - Cue-to-cue technical rehearsal
Monday, September 7th - 1800 - 2200 - Dress rehearsal
Tuesday, September 8th - 1800 - 2200 - Dress rehearsal
Wednesday, September 9th - 1800 - 2200 - Dress rehearsal
Thursday, September 10th - 1800 - 2200 - Members’ preview performance
Friday, September 11th - 1800 - 2200 - Premiere performance
Saturday, September 12th - 1600 - 2000 - Performance
Wednesday, September 16th - 1800 - 2200 - Performance
Thursday, September 17th - 1800 - 2200 - Performance

Rehearsals will take place at least twice per week, mostly weekday evenings, but some weekend attendance will be required. The exact schedule will be worked out with the cast and creative team once casting is complete. Please try to be available for as many rehearsals as possible. We understand that not everyone can be available at every rehearsal and will do our best to work around everyone’s prior commitments. Not all cast members will be required for all rehearsals, so we anticipate that everyone will get some ‘time off’ at various points. We intend to have a summer break some time in August, but this will be confirmed at a later date. Rehearsals will most likely start in May.
